Opening & Closing Hours

The venues are open to the General Public on competition days. As a general rule, the gates will open 1 hour before the start of the competitions and will close 15 minutes after the end of the final class.

Exceptions:

  • Opening Ceremony at D’Ornano Stadium in Caen on 23 August: Gates open 2 hours before the start and close 30 minutes after the end
  • Dressage phase of the Eventing at Le Pin National Stud on 28-29 August: Gates open 1 hour before the start of the competition and close 3 hours after the end
  • Cross-country phase of the Eventing at Le Pin National Stud on 30 August: Gates open 3.5 hours before the start of the competition and close 3 hours after the end
  • Marathon phase of the Driving at La Prairie Racecourse on 6 September: Gates open 2.5 hours before the start of the competition and close 1 hour after the end
  • Horseball demonstrations in St Lô on 28-29-30 August and 1 September: Gates open 1.5 hours before the start of the competition

Games Village: Open from Saturday 23 August to Saturday 6  September, from 11am to 10pm or 11pm, except on Monday 1 September. On September 7th, the Village will be open from 11am to 6pm.

Information & Directions

Info Points will be set up on all competition sites. They will be located just outside the entrances or inside the site grounds.

Our reception teams are on hand to answer any questions you might have. All you need to do is ask!

There will also be reception staff on duty inside the competition sites. They are there to help you find your way around the different sites and answer any questions you might have.

Note that parents can ask for a bracelet for their children at those information points. This bracelet will show the full name of the child, as well as the phone number of his/her guardian.

Cloakrooms

Cloakrooms will be set up on all competition sites for free. These cloakrooms can be accessed by all spectators (who are over 14 years old) during site opening hours.

Articles that have not been collected on the day that they were left can be picked up the following day on the same site. Please note, however, that the Organising Committee cannot be held responsible for said items and, as a consequence, the owner of the item in question waives the right to legal recourse.

Furthermore, the Organising Committee of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian GamesTM 2014 in Normandy disclaims all responsibility in the event of the loss or theft of items on the competition sites.

Lost & Found

This service is managed by each site’s Info Point teams.

If you find an object, please hand it in to one of the Info Points on the site where it was found.

If you have lost something, please report it at the nearest Info Point to where it was lost.

Strollers & Baby Changing Areas

Strollers are allowed on all competitions venues, except at d'Ornano stadium and in the concert zone of the Games Village of caen.

Strollers are therefore allowed at the Prairie Racecourse of Caen, at the Zenith of Caen, at the Exposition Centre, but not in the stands. You will have to leave it at the bottom of the stairs. Security Agents will look after it.

Baby changing areas will be set up in D’Ornano Stadium and in the Games Village. These specially-adapted areas will be equipped with changing tables and bottle-warmers.

Games spectators are granted free access to these areas. The Organising Committee therefore asks spectators to be considerate when using these areas and to use the equipment provided in the correct manner.

Ticket Sales

Tickets for all of the competitions are on sale via the Alltech FEI World Equestrian GamesTM 2014 in Normandy website: http://ticket.normandy2014.com. Tickets can also be purchased from Normandy’s Tourist Offices.

Spectators can also buy tickets on the competition sites themselves, from the ticket windows.

Shops

There will be several official shops on most of the competition sites, in the shape of large stores, smaller shops or mobile boutiques.

Games Village:

  • 225 m² megastore
  • Two 50 m² shops

D’Ornano Stadium:

  • Two 50 m² shops on the esplanade
  • Four ambulatory stalls inside the stadium
  • One mobile boutique

Le Pin National Stud:

  • One 25 m² shop
  • Two mobile boutiques at each entrance

Sartilly:

  • One caravan-style mobile boutique
  • One trailer-style mobile boutique

Prairie Racecourse:

  • One caravan-style mobile boutique

Deauville (Polo):

  • One 16 m² shop

Animals

Pets (dogs, cats etc.) are strictly forbidden on the competition sites of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy.

Cameras

Cameras are permitted on all competition sites of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy. However, detachable zoom lenses (over 20cm) and camera tripods will not be allowed onto the competition sites.

Objects Interdits

Prohibited items inside the competition venues: animals, weapons, alcoholic beverage, vacuum bottles, cans, helmets, safety shoes, horns, explosives, pyrotechnics, flasks, coolers, large boxes, rigid flagpoles, megaphones, tools, strollers, narcotics, explosive/flammable objects.
