1000 days to go: the 2014 Games gather momentum
At the invitation of Laurent Beauvais, President of the Normandie 2014 organising committee and of the Lower Normandy Region and in the presence of David Douillet, Minister for Sport, the different actors united in the organization of the World Equestrian Games came together to officially launch the 1000 day countdown to the beginning of the event.

The region of Normandy along with all those taking part in the event are preparing for this major date which will take place from August 24th to September 7th, 2014.
1000 DAYS BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE ADVENTURE
1000 days to go is the start of a project to be shared by many: 1000 days to get ready, to encourage exchange, to mobilize support and to become a part of this event making it one great big party for everyone.
Starting from now, the road towards 2014 is clearly mapped out. In 2012, the sports management team of a director and 8 discipline managers will be set up. The arrival of new financial sponsorship in the form of a premium partnership with Alltech and the soon-to-be announced additional official sponsor reinforces the Games’ budget even more. The 2014 edition brings together the involvement of local communities as well as international financial partners. Regional companies will be able to join a club to support the event during 2012.
And so 1000 days from the opening of the event, a whole momentum has been set in motion. It unites the energy of a complete sector and territory, carrying with it the ambition of leaving a powerful legacy behind through the territorial strategy initiated by the Region in association with the World Equestrian Games.
Designing the colors of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy
The 1000 days to go celebration bears the colors of the event. The official logotype has been revealed for the first time.
It symbolizes the fusion, the coming together of mankind and a horse. The design completely intertwines a human face with the profile of a horse, as if to convey a timeless relationship of respect, of complicity that goes beyond the confines of the sport and which remindsus of the central part the two main actors will be playing during this popular and prestigiousevent.
This emotional, unifying image also carries the strength of an event which has a truly international reach. The authorities involved in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 appear in a clear and equable manner: The FEI, the principal sponsor Alltech and the region of Normandy, host to the event. The pastoral backdrop of this event is ever present in the choice of a bold green, symbol of a certain freshness, looking towards the future, of apple blossom that flowers every spring. The subtlety of its design lends itself to a whole host of possibilities.
With this new visual identity, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy hoist their colors to reach the highest level of international sporting events.
