Alexia LAROCHE-JOUBERT

“Horses have been my chosen companion for 40 years; they have been there during my times of joy and sorrow. Thanks to horses, I have tackled life’s ups and downs like a cross-country course. On horseback, I have watched the world pass by and have been able to escape the stresses of daily life. I am proud to be able to make a contribution to this event and to stand alongside the general public as we admire the athletes in all disciplines.”

Biography

Alexia Laroche-Joubert, ambassador for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy :

Alexia Laroche-Joubert is a television presenter and producer. Having studied law, she went on to work for the Canal + group before making the move to TF1. After a year with this channel, Alexia Laroche-Joubert joined Endemol, a production company well known for its reality television shows. She quickly became the company’s director of programming for France and a member of the group’s board of directors. On screen, she is recognised for her former role as principal of Star Academy (similar to Pop Idol).

In 2008, Alexia Laroche-Joubert left Endemol and set up her own production company, ALJ Production, today called Banijay Production. More recently, we have seen her on the Equidia channel in Equidia et vous and alongside Cyril Hanouna in Touche pas à mon poste.

Horse-loving Alexia Laroche-Joubert began riding at the age of 5. A fan of dressage, she decided to concentrate her energies on this discipline with her Andalusian mount. When her horse was injured, she started jumping on a New Forest/Cob. With her passion for riding in mind, she brought horses and reality television together for the first time with the launch of Equidia Life Académie, a programme in which club riders undergo an intensive course taught by professional riders, the highlight of which is an appearance in the Gucci Paris Masters.
