Corinna SCHUMACHER

“It’s easy to give support to something touching your heart, and animals have always touched mine. Horses have therefore been part of my life, even if initially mainly for amateur-fun reasons. Being a team with your horse is something great to watch and even greater to work on, and so I feel very excited to be an official ambassador of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy. I really look forward to watching some high-class competitions.”

Biography

Corinna Schumacher, ambassador for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy :

It was quite some years ago that Corinna was looking for some horses she would feel comfortable for her family to ride on. When she was sitting on a  Quarter Horse for the first time, she immediately felt those were the right ones for her: „I fell in love with them from the first moment, because they are wonderful, family friendly animals but at the same time great athletes who like to compete.“

It was thus by coincidence that Corinna – who as a child had never practised horse back riding for other purposes than having fun – discovered a world she soon became passionate about. The wife of the seven time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher started to learn a discipline nearly natural for quarter horses but at that time unknown to her: Reining. Believe us, today she is a Reining expert…

In her meticulous way, Corinna is active in supporting her sport. Her idyllic CS Ranch, at first a refugee for the family, has developped into the most modern Reining facility in Switzerland and a horse centre with the clear focus on professional training and performance. In the end though, Corinna has never lost focus for what brought her to the sport: the love for animals.
