Eventing: William Fox-Pitt wins the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event


British rider William Fox- Pitt won the last weekend the mythical Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event in Lexington (USA), the third stage of the FEI Classics circuit, on the young Bay My Hero.

45 year-old Fox -Pitt, vice-individual world champion in 2010 and Olympic vice-champion with his team, proved once again that he's an eventing legend by winning the CCI 4 * of Lexington (Kentucky) on his 11 year-old Irish horse Bay My Hero. He thus complements an impressive collection of 4 star events, with six titles Burghley (1994, 2002, 2005 , 2007, 2008 , 2011), two in Pau (2011, 2013), one Luhmühlen (2008), one in Badminton ( 2004) , and now three in Lexington (2010 , 2012 , 2014). A great collection thirteen success in this prestigious tour !

He beat american rider Lauren Kieffer, who signs at age 26 the best result of her career. Bruce Davidson and Ballynoe Castle RM Jr complete the podium.

Already winner of the first stage in Pau, William Fox- Pitt confirms its first place in the FEI Classics rankings.

The next stage of the FEI Classics circuit will take place in Badminton (Great Britain) from 8 to 11 May.
