Badminton 2014 : a third triumph for William Fox-Pitt ?


Good news for the all the Eventing fans : the famous Mistubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials starts tomorrow ! And after a visit in Burghley in 2013, our Road Tour team will once again experience the thrill of "Eventing made ​​in England" this year.

The FEI Classics Circuit

The CCI **** Badminton is the fourth stage of the 2014 FEI Classics circuit, which includes six 4* Eventing competitions (which corresponds to the highest internationally).

Badminton and its legendary cross-country course

Renowned for its famous golf cross, the Mistubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials attracts more competitors each year. This year, more than 130 riders registered, and only 85 applications were accepted. However, this 2014 edition promises some surprises since a new designer who prepared the course of thirty fences, with a few innovations that the horses will get to experience on Saturday.

The favorites

British rider William Fox-Pitt, currently in first place in the FEI World Eventing Ranking seems to be the favorite, after winning in Pau and in Lexington (Kentucky) two weeks ago. Its main rival ? Surely Andrew Nicholson, team Olympic champion with New Zealand, who will try everything to win this title that has been eluding him for so long.

The Games' Road Tour

If eveything we previously does not make you want to come and trample the beautiful green grass of Badminton, we suggest you to come and enjoy a stroll among the Shopping Village, which brings together more than 250 exhibitors. Obviously, the Games' Road Tour will be there with a photo booth, Norman the official mascot and more surprises.   • Thursday 8th May : 9.00 am – 5.00 pm (approx.): DRESSAGE
  • Friday 9th May : 9.00 am – 5.00 pm (approx.): DRESSAGE
  • Saturday 10th May : 12 Noon – 5.30 pm: CROSS COUNTRY TEST
  • Sunday 11th May : 11.30 am (approx.): JUMPING TEST (First Part) / 2.45 pm: JUMPING TEST (Top 20)
