Vaulting : Germany sweeps the final World Cup stage in Leipzig
Leipzig hosted the final stage of the FEI Vaulting World Cup, before the Grand final that will take place in Bordeaux from 7 to 9 February.
On the women's side, Italian vaulter Anna Cavallaro gave a magnificent performance, winning the competition with a final score of 8,377. Switzerland's Simone Jaiser finished in 2nd place, despite her victory in the second program, with a final score of 8.332. Germany's Corinna Knauf completed the podium.
On the men's side, Germany's Lukas Heppler won the competition in front of his home crowd with a score of 8.323. His fellow countryman Jannik Heiland finished on the second step of the podium with a final score of 8,117, while Torben Jacobs completed the exclusively German podium with a score of 7.929.
