The renowned French Republican Guard will hold performances at the youth and main arenas in the Village. On 24 August, the Guard will open the Village with its mounted brass band with 76 men and their horses.
To continue sharing the French military’s equestrian traditions, the cavalry regiment regularly presents public demonstrations called “special trainings”. The Carrousel des Lances, which will take place on 24 August in the youth arena, is one of the more spectacular performances. The Guard will also host a 30-minute workshop explaining the preparation of a rider and horse for an honour service mission, and will be part of the closing ceremony.
