Horse Ball exhibition: the schedule is out

The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy will host not only the world championship of the FEI's eight official disciplines (Jumping, Endurance, Eventing, Dressage, Driving, Para-Dressage, Reining, Vaulting), but also two exhibition tournaments of up-and-coming equestrian disciplines: Polo on Saturday, 6 September, and a demonstration tournament of Horse-Ball from Wednesday 27 to Sunday, 31 August at the equestrian center of Saint-Lô. With two tournaments (women and mixed), four participating nations, sixteen official matches, exhibitions with Shetlands, and even cheerleaders, the 3,000 spectators in the stands each day should enjoy the show !

Horse Ball exhibition: the schedule is out

Four women's teams and four mixed teams will take part in the two tournaments women and mixed) organised during this exhibiton tournament, which will be held over four days (August 27th, 28th, 29th, and 31st).

The greatest nations of Horse-Ball will participate : France of course, but also Spain, Belgium and Italy.

Each team will play against the other three teams in its category, during the first three days, from Wednesday to Friday. The final will be played on Sunday, with the first two and the last two teams competing against each other. To open each day, the crowd will also get to see a match between two teams of shetlands.

All those games will take place every day from 6pm to 10pm at the equestrian center of Saint Lô, where the European championships took place in 2007, 2010 and 2013 (Chemin de la Madeleine, 50000 Saint Lô).

Final team selections will be announced at the end of July. The draw will take place on the eve of the competition (Tuesday, August 26 at 6pm). Four referees will be present: Jean-Marc Saur (Jury President – France), Eric Guy (France), Tony Vandevenne (Belgium), Taurizio Percia (Italy).
