Reining: The show is on as athletes prepare for the Individual Final
The Individual Reining Final held during the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy is bound to set the full house on fire tonight. Twenty-one combinations will be running NRHA pattern n.10, one of the most explosive reining patterns. The first maneuver is a ‘run in’ and stop: horses will enter the arena at a lope and perform a sliding stop followed by a back up. Once again, fast and slow circles, flying lead changes, series of 360° spins, will be performed.

Seven NRHA Million Dollar Riders will be leaving their mark in the Parc Expo arena tonight: Europeans, Bernard Fonck and Rudi Kronsteiner and from the USA, Tom McCutcheon and Jordan Larson. Two Million Dollar Rider, Mandy McCutcheon, the only woman to have achieved this milestone, will be followed by Three Million Dollar Rider, Andrea Fappani, and by the only Five Million Dollar Rider in the history of NRHA, Shawn Flarida.
Flarida and Spooks Gotta Whiz, a 7-year-old stallion owned by Michelle Kimball, will close the FEI competition. The pair marked the highest score in the qualifiers, a 229.5, and are ready to leave their mark in Normandy tonight!
