Reining: Waiting for the Individual Finals

Tonight the Individual Final Competition will award the last FEI medals for the sport of Reining in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy.  The level of competition will be high with the best horses and riders from 11 Nations riding for the FEI medals in front of a full house.

The clean slate finals will see the riders entering the Parc Expo arena according to the scores obtained in the 1st and 2nd individual qualifier, starting with the rider who detains the lowest score to the one who scored the highest.

Reiners will be performing to NRHA pattern n.10, a run in pattern. They will each enter the arena at a lope and perform a sliding stop followed by a back up.  Each will then have to perform 4 spins to the left and the 4 and one quarter spins to the right.  Starting on the right lead, three circles to the right (the first two fast and fast, the third small and slow) are required. After changing leads at the center of the arena, they will have to complete three circles to the left:  the first small and slow and the next two large
