COMPETITION MANAGEMENT

During the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Normandy 2014, the job of Competition Management will ensure the competition runs smoothly. The team shall, in particular, make sure the competition equipment/materials are in the proper place and that juries and officials have what they need.  It shall also ensure the competition schedule is being kept to, sports areas are being properly used and the FEI’s sport rules are being followed.

WHAT TO DO ?

  • Install, clean and maintain competition equipment/materials
  • Accompany identified riders/horses up to the anti-doping check
  • Inform team leaders of the procedure for the medal ceremonies
  • Help jury members with administration during the competition events
  • Help discipline managers (stewards)


PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of equestrian world
  • Experience in equestrian competitions
  • For certain jobs, being on the list of FFE or FEI’s officials is a plus.


STABLES OFFICE

During the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Normandy 2014, the Stables Officewill be in charge of ensuring the safety and well-being of the horses in the competition from the time they arrive to the time they depart the venue.  The Stables Officewill offer National Federations the mandatory services relating to the event (supplying of bedding, farrier/blacksmith services, and feed) or optional/additional services (such as saddle & tack, dentistry, osteopathy services).

WHAT TO DO?

  • Supply bedding for stalls as per orders from  the National Federations
  •  Keep common areas in and around stable clean  (not including occupied )
  • Manage the blacksmith’s  schedule
  • Meet/greet and provide information to grooms, competitors and other members of the National Federations involved in the stables.


PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED 

  • Good knowledge of competition horses



NATIONAL FEDERATION DESK

The National Federations Desk will be in charge of assisting participants (National Federations and their members) with all aspects of the competition and the logistics of their stays through coordination with the other departments of the relevant Organizing Committee (Logistics, BtoC, Communications, etc.)

WHAT TO DO ?

  • Answer questions from members of  the National Federations
  • Make available timetable schedules, departure list, results’ sheets, etc.
  • Take part in the logistical organisation of team leaders’ meetings
  • Accompany and provide assistance, if needed, to members of the National Federations in the event of a logistics’ problem.


PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Foreign languages are desirable


HYGIENE & VETERINARY TEAM

During the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Normandy 2014, the Hygiene and Veterinary Team will be in charge of daily and emergency veterinary services for competition horses so they may be cared for in the best possible manner. The team will also be ready to respond in the event an epidemic breaks out in the equine population of the Games.   It will also ensure adherence to current laws, regulations and veterinary requirements.

WHAT TO DO ?

  • Handle the administrative side of veterinary onsite facilities (clinic areas)
  • Manage the occupancy schedule of  veterinary onset facilities (clinic areas)
  • Track the accounting of veterinary services provided to the  delegations
  • Assist veterinarians  in their logistical and administrative tasks


PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED 
 

  • Good  knowledge of competition horses
