The Quarter Horse becomes the Games' 4th Horse of Honor
The Normandy 2014 Organising Committee is proud ot welcome the Quarter Horse as a "Horse of Honor" of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy, France.
The American Quarter Horse is the world’s most versatile breed and also the preferred breed of Reining. Whether sliding, spinning or circling, the American Quarter Horse outperforms other breeds, and its intelligence, gentle nature and even temperament makes it unique.
The American Quarter Horse is best known as the horse that settled the American West and for its unmatched ability as a sprint racer. Indeed, the American Quarter Horse is the world’s fastest horse over one quarter of a mile, which is how the breed earned its name.
Known for their hard-working nature and determination, American Quarter Horses are also the preferred mount on ranches.
