Marcus Ehning strikes again in Bordeaux

Marcus Ehning once again showed his genius on Cornado NRW, beating 2013 European champion Roger-Yves and Castle Forbes Myrtille-Paulois by a few hundredths of second. With this beautiful second place, the French rider is now qualified for the Grand final of Lyon. Just two weeks after his victory in Zurich, Swss rider Pius Schwizer finishes in third place with his young horse Toulago to confirm his beautiful come-back.

Behind this "podium of excellence", four riders also completed two clear-rounds : Ireland's Billy Twomey finishes fourth , followed respectively by two British riders, Michael Whitaker and Joe Clee, and Cammeron Hanley.

Among the six other riders for the play-off, French riders Patrice Delaveau on Carinjo 9 * HDC and Julien Epaillard on Cristallo A * LM finish respectively 8th and 12th with four points. Too bad for Patrice who recorded the fastest time of the round !

But the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping qualifier was not the only big event this weeken, since the Land Rover Grand Prix 5 * (1m60) was held the next day ! A beautiful event won by English rider Guy Williams, who had already succeeded the day before during the speed competition . Victorious. Penelope Leprévost ends up second on Nice Stéphanie.  Ludger Beerbaum and Shaman complete the podium

Next step for all those riders : the last Longines FEI World Cup Jumping qualifier in Goteborg from February 27th to March 2nd, before the FEI World Cup Finals in Lyon from 17 to 20 April.
